Requirements for graduation consideration and recognition:
Students who meet the following requirements will be considered and recognized for graduation:
– Have no criminal prosecution or suspension by the time of graduation consideration.
– Accumulate enough credits for specified programs.
– Achieve a cumulative grade point average of the entire course of 2.00 or higher.
– Obtain the certificates of national defense and physical education.
– English language:
+ Students majoring in English must:
• get the confirmation letter of completing Intensive English modules 1 & 2 issued by the Center for Information Technology & Languages of SIU;
• and pass the English Language Proficiency Test organized by the Saigon International University with the result equivalent to Level 5 on the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework or submit an international English language certificate equivalent to C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
+ Students of other majors must:
• get the confirmation letter of completing Intensive English modules 1 & 2 issued by the Center for Information Technology & Languages of SIU;
• and obtain an English language certificate equivalent to Level 3 on the Vietnamese Foreign Language Proficiency Framework (TOEIC 550, or IELTS 4.5, or TOEFL 45 iBT, or TOEFL ITP 470, or Cambridge Assessment English 145 (B1 Preliminary/B1 Business Preliminary/Linguaskill), or Aptis ESOL B1, or PEIC level 2).
+ Students of the undergraduate programs taught in English language, students must hold a certificate of TOEFL with a minimum score of 79 iBT or IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5.
– Information Technology:
+ Students majoring in Computer Science and Information Technology must:
• get the confirmation letter of completing international professional modules issued by the Center for Information Technology & Languages of SIU;
• and obtain one of the international professional certificates: CCNA, or Coursera- Applied Text Mining in Python (University of Michigan), or Coursera – Big Data Specialization (University of California San Diego), or Coursera – Machine Learning Specialization (Stanford University).
+ Students of other majors must:
• get the confirmation letter of completing Word & PowerPoint and Excel modules issued by the Center for Information Technology & Languages of SIU;
• and obtain the MOS Specialist certifications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) with the 2016 version issued by Microsoft – USA.
Students will pay the fees for taking the examinations by themselves.
– Obtain the certificate of participation in club activities issued by SIU.
– Participate in soft skills courses, career skills, workshops, seminars, training courses, academic field trips, and practical internships organized by SIU.
– Meet the requirements of the SIU swimming training course.
– Tuition fees and other fees must be paid.
